Sebastian arce & Mariana Montes

Outstanding teachers of the highest level: their lessons are always understandable, fun and are always directly address the students’ needs. They have their own style – it’s more organic and natural than structural. They have reached amazing results in the geometry of dance and have created a new approach to partners’ communication within the couple that is based on leading and using the energy. Horacio Godoy y Cecilia Berra

Horacio Godoy – amazing dancer, recognized tango teacher and choreographer. His unbelievable musicality and creativity in dance fascinate at first sight. When dancing, Horacio interprets tango salon in a new way that he has learned from the masters of Villa Urquiza style. Delicately playing with the music he manages to preserve tango’s elegance and deepness. And his milonga enraptures even mature dancers. Above all that, Horacio is an outstanding organizer and director of various arrangements in the world of tango and theater. For a long time already he remains the director and the teacher of the cultural center “La Viruta”, where one of the most popular milonga in Buenos Aires takes place.

Same as last year Horacio comes to the Milonguero nights festival with his partner Cecilia Berra. Cecilia started dancing in 1988 taking classes from various teachers, but through past few years she devoted more time to Tango Nuevo style. During her dancing carrier she repeatedly danced in multiple tango shows, including famous festival “Cambalache” in Buenos Aires in 2008. Above all that, Cecilia has been living in Europe for a long time, where she taught Tango Argentino. 

  

Chico y Juana

Mariano Chico Frumboli has played one of the major roles in tango evolution in the past ten years. Thanks to his artistic carrier Chico sees more in tango than just a dance: when dancing, he himself becomes the music, that’s what inspired the whole generation of young tangueros. Chico filled tango with the permanent search for new and original, with creative approach to the movement and musicality.

Juana Sepulveda is one of the youngest stars that lighted up in the tango sky. She unites completely different features – unbelievable delicacy and strength in each movement, which are always supplemented with her musicality and amazing sensitivity.

Chico y Juana’s lessons are equally useful for those who are just getting acquainted with tango Nuevo style and for advanced and skilled dancers. In Chico’s teaching love towards tango and his talent are combined with deep understanding of the dance techniques.   

Claudio Forte and Barbara Carpino

Claudio and Barbara are young couple from Italy who came in the world of argentine tango in 2002. By that time they have already studied classical ballet, contemporary dance and ballroom. Learning on diversity of their background they developed their own style which could be characterized by amazing softness and elegance meeting breathtaking dynamics. While dancing the couple transmits all range of emotions – from tenderness to passion. And of course, anyone who ever saw their performance is amazed by lightness that Barbara’s legs have.

In 2006 Claudio and Barbara took the 4th place at the World Championship of Argentine Tango in Buenos Aires and became the first non-argentine couple who got into top five.

Nowadays they run their school in Italy, successfully take part and teach on the festivals all over Europe and in Buenos Aires, and moreover Claudio and Barbara organize their festival in Syracuse that have already become one of the most popular among tangueros worldwide. 

Sabrina and Ruben Veliz

Famous argentinian choreographers and dancers. Couple dance in tango show style. They started their artistic career in the well known Ballet Brandsen in 1989. In Early 1997 they started their career as a solo couple. During their long dance life with their show they have made numerous tours in all parts of the world, visited such countries as Japan, China, Russia, Europe, USA, Latin America and others. They worked with the world famous orchestras like Amsterdam Sinfonetta (Holland), Canyengue (Holland), Momoco Aida (Japan). Their show “Tangos Corazonicos”, Radio Latina, Radio-grafias, “Tango Buenos Aires” received excellent reviews from critics.

 

Aurelio Garcia y Elba Natalia Sottil

He has grown up in the Avellaneda district, between 1955 and 1965 won 15 dance competitions, with the other partner performed with Osvaldo Pugliese orchestra. She began to dance, when she met Nito. Soon they started to not only dance at milongas but also to perform and to give classes. In the beginning of the 1990s they took a tour abroad. Since then they have given numerous seminars in the USA and Europe. They are the highly rated teachers of the International Tango Congress since 2000. Moreover, twice a week they give group lessons in Gricel. As for the tango shows, in 1998 they took part in Tango Forever show and danced in Esquina Carlos Gardel for two years, and now they play the leading part in the restaurant – concert Tango Porteno.

 

Mariana Dragone 

Mariana primary studied in the classical dance school and then in such well known and prestigious tango schools as Pepito Avellaneda’s, Gustavo Naveira’s, Julio Bamaceda’s. She also studied folklore and took classes from many well-known teachers.  In addition she danced contemporary dance and modern-dance. In 2002 she won the second place in the national Tango Argentino championship.

She performs on various stages such as Cafe Tortoni, Club del Vino, Confiteria La Ideal, Cafe y Restaurante Homero Manzi, Sabor a Tango. During her performances Mariana worked with Leon Gieco, Mercedes Sosa and others.
